About Us

As a kid growing up, one of my favorite summertime fascinations was fireworks. My dad would always take me to this tent in Manhattan, KS and we would 'bargain shop' and pick out a big assortment that we could shoot off at our farm. At the age of 10, my grandpa told me he had a friend that distributed fireworks and wanted to know if I'd like to set up a small stand in Riley, KS for the millennium. This was the start of my career in fireworks; with two 4' cardboard tables I made a whopping $200 gross sale. It felt good to be able to make a sale, and shoot off what was left. For the next 5 years this small stand consumed my life, I would constantly be thinking of ways to make it bigger, better and have the best product for not only my customers, but also something I would enjoy shooting off myself.

After those great years, I was approached for a possible merger to expand from one stand to more than 10 in one year. I talked my grandpa into being my banker and dove straight in! The company you see now is what has evolved from that decision.

After many mistakes, a few successes, long nights and making some great friends I am proud of the work that has been done and excited about what lies in the future. Although a bit bigger than when we started, we are a company that remembers it's roots and principles that made us what we are. The main principle is the appreciation of you, our customer because without you we wouldn't exist!

Our new motto is "Expanding the Possibilities" because as a small business we understand how hard it can be to get certain items or services, and at a fair price. We are constantly auditing our business to be the best we can be not only for ourselves but for you too.
